Your invited to a good ole' fashioned Christmas party!  Pot-luck and BYOB!  

In order to get a good count to ensure we have enough food please RSVP
Christmas caroling starting at 4:00 at McKenna Crossing - meet in the lobby.  Wear festive holiday attire along with a Santa hat and bring jingle bells.
Party starts at 5:30 at at Savage McColl Pond Enviromental Learning Center.
Karoake to follow at TJ Hooligan's - approximately 9:30. 

If you've signed up to bring a food item, please bring by 5:30. If not, bring your favorite appetizer. Bring your own serving dish and serving utensil.  (A separate reminder email will be sent to those who signed up to bring food closer to the party.)  

Beer, wine and set-ups will be provided, bring your own bottle if you wish.
Optional:  Bring a dozen cookies for the cookie contest.

Better Angels is a national citizens' movement to reduce political polarization in the US by bringing liberals and conservatives together to understand each other beyond stereotypes, forming red/blue community alliances, teaching practical skills for communicating across political differences, and making a strong public argument for deplorization. 

Amanda will speak about the establishment of Rotaract Clubs in Africa as a partnership between Rotary and ARC.

A new club sponsored event held in conjunction with Smoke Signals Car Show

This is a LMF Operation/All Rotarian Meeting to discuss logistics of the park.  We will also discuss all new changes that will be made this year and answer any questions each committee and Rotarians may have.

If you are a new Rotarian or if you have not signed up for a committee, please attend this meeting as you will get a good insight about our fundraiser.

We will be meeting at The Wilds at 6:00 PM. Appetizers will be served, but there will be no kitchen service as The Wilds is opening up exclusively for us and they will be serving according to the count we give them, so please RSVP!

This is the 2nd year that the Rotary Club of Prior Lake has sponsored this new Ethics Workshop specifically designed for PLSAS Juniors and Seniors which was developed by University of St. Thomas Professor, Dr. Jason Skirry.  For 2019, we are proud to expand this workshop to all enrolled MNCAPS students.  This workshop will be a one-day "retreat" focused on these areas:

• Importance of identifying and building awareness around your moral character (i.e. Who they are and who they want to be)

• The human psychology including the barriers that can block us from making good decisions

• A fundamental framework for analyzing and thinking through ethical dilemmas

• Practice applying that framework to create transparency into the available courses of action and assist in identifying the best path forward, when faced with an ethical dilemma

There is no cost to attend and attendance is limited to the first 50 PLSAS Juniors and Seniors to register.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the Prior Lake Rotary Club and our local business partners.  Although school faculty are in support of this workshop, students are expected to make proper arrangements with their other classes to be out of school that day.  Finding transportation to and from the workshop is the responsibility of the students.

Bus will leave Gasthof at 9pm for Prior Lake.

Meet at Rotary Gateway Park to help clean up the park, pull weeds and paint the gazebo.  The park is located adjacent to Lakefront Plaza and is a gateway to Lakefront Park.  Our club collaborated with the Ciry of Prior Lake to create the park and we take ownership for the work that can be done by volunteers.  We want it looking spectacular for Sunday in the Park on May 19th, an event designed to educate the public about the park and show it off.  Get some exercies, socialize and know that your work is an important part of keeping this park special.
