There are fourteen lakes serving the Prior Lake area. The two largest lakes are Prior Lake and Spring Lake. Both lakes have their own lake association. Lake associations serve a variety of valuable functions. Composed primarily of lakeshore owners, they monitor the condition of the lake, develop lake management plans, educate shoreland property owners about individual and collective actions to protect the lake, or network with water organizations, other individuals, and lake associations to learn from their experiences.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the Presidents of the Prior Lake Association, Ron Hoffmeyer and Spring Lake Association, Wesley Steffan will be our meeting presenters. The two will talk about the history, accomplishments, plans for the respective associations and things you and I can do maintain and preserve our lakes, streams, and wetlands for our collective short- and long-term benefit.
