Today 40 Rotarians were present to hear Joe Vaughn, Vice President of Development at CAP Agency. CAP (Community Action Partnership) has been providing services for more than 50 years in Scott, Carver & Dakota Counties. CAP's mission is "to assist and empower people to achieve social and economic wellbeing by providing services in partnership with our communities". He stated their programs touch the lives of more than 50,000 individuals each year.

Joe spoke about the three most heavily used CAP programs:  Food Shelf, Senior Dining/Nutrition, and Crisis Nursery. Other services include head start, energy assistance, family services, housing, thrift shop, toy drive, hope for the holidays, and healthy families.
