DG Joe Kavarik spoke to us about the RI Focus of "Peace Through Service" and shared the District’s M3 Model of Members, Money, and Mindfulness.

He left us with a great statement to use in our 60-second elevator speech when asked:

What is Rotary? "Rotary improves people’s lives locally and globally through service".

 

ImageImageDistrict Governor Joe Kavarik was our guest speaker at our Sept 19, 2012 membership meeting.

Joe Kavarik’s initial expose to Rotary International was in 1977 when he was recommended by the Rotary Club of St. Paul and elected by the District to be a member of the then-all male GSE Team to India.

Two years later he joined Club #10. He has been actively involved at the Club, District, and International levels ever since, including the being the GSE Team Leader to the Philippines in 1999. He was Club 10 President in 2007-2008. Joe is also an inaugural member of the Board of Directors for District 5960.

Today, Joe is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and with the St. Paul Rotary Foundation, he is an Elmer L. Andersen Fellow.

Joe’s professional career has led him into a rewarding career in Education, Personnel, Sales, and Consulting.

Joe and his wife, Kathy, also an Elmer L. Andersen Fellow, reside outside of St. Paul. They have two married children and five grandchildren.
